Terms & Conditions
I am happy to accept the terms and conditions of the World Vision Global 6K on behalf of myself and those I have signed up as part of my registration. I also understand that World Vision staff and Global 6K volunteer event organisers have the right to refuse to allow me and those I have signed-up to participate in a Global 6K event at any point at their discretion.
I understand that I am legally responsible for my World Vision Global 6k event. As such I understand that it is my responsibility to:
- Ensure I have the appropriate insurance in place
- Ensure I have the appropriate permissions from the local authority / other land owners to use the 6K course I have mapped out
- Can sign-up at least 10 participants to my Global 6K event and support them in their fundraising efforts to reach our goal
- Read and follow World Vision UK Global 6K’s Organiser’s Planning Guide
- Respect World Vision’s brand and values as a Christian organisation
Registration Fee and Refunds
We have made every effort to keep the registration fee to a minimum and will use this fee to cover the cost of your T-shirt, bib and medal. These costs will be incurred by World Vision even if you are unable to participate on the day for any reason or if your event organiser chooses to cancel the event and therefore cannot be refunded.
In exceptional circumstances and at their sole discretion World Vision UK’s Director of Public Engagement can agree to refund registration fees.
I understand that running / walking is a potentially hazardous activity and that I should not participate in the Global 6K unless I am medically able and / or cleared by a doctor to do so.
I accept all risks associated with participation in the event including but not limited to injuries as a result of falls, the effect of weather, traffic, road, path or other course conditions.
I understand that the World Vision Global 6K is a family friendly fundraising event for everyone and that by registering to take part I agree to behave lawfully at all times and:
- Not participate while under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
- Not smoke, consume alcohol, or take other illegal substances during a Global 6K event.
- Respect other participants and World Vision staff and event organisers – abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
I understand that World Vision is concerned about the environment and agree to respect this by:
- avoiding single use plastics. I will bring my own refillable water bottle
- ensuring all litter is picked up and recycled or disposed of appropriately
Photos and Filming
World Vision UK is committed to processing information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By registering for the World Vision Global 6K in the UK I understand that the events will be photographed and filmed and that by participating my image may appear in group shots.

I acknowledge that the above also applies to children under the age of 18 and agree to only register children where the parent / legal guardian is happy for their image to be used in the manner described above.
No individual shots or personal details of adults or children under the age of 18 will be used without my written consent or the consent of a parent / legal guardian as appropriate.
